Terms & Conditions
-
1. You must bring your driving licence (and where appropriate your CBT and Theory test certificate(s)) for every lesson. Failure to produce the correct documents will be taken as a breach of contract and course fees are forfeit.
-
2. All CBT courses are to be paid in advance of the training date.
-
3. For full licence courses (A2 and DAS) we require a deposit
of £ 200.00 to secure the place, with the balance to be paid
one week before the start of your course.
-
4. If no such payment is received at the time of booking, you must make payment within 7 days. Failure to pay within this time will be taken as cancellation and the place offered to someone else.
-
5. We require 5 days notice for cancellation of CBT, Road-rider or Advanced Courses. For full licence courses we require 10 days notice. Failure to give this notice will result in a cancellation fee being applied.
-
6. Any request for a refund must be made in writing. We do not do refunds for gift vouchers. It is assumed that the recipient of the voucher is given a copy of the brochure by the purchaser.
-
7. Insurance excess, where candidates use a motorcycle provided by us, the rider is responsible for the first £100 of any accidental damage to the bike or property.
-
8. We recommend that you take the Theory test at least 14 days before your Practical test in order to allow for cancellation of the course or another attempt at the Theory test. Our course includes one Theory test fee and one Practical test fee. The candidate is responsible for the payment of any additional fees, whether booked through us or directly with the DSA.
-
9. Candidates training on their own motorcycle should ensure that it complies with all the legal requirements in particular that it is roadworthy, taxed and insured. Two L-plates must be displayed. The company reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee where a candidate is unable to train because their own bike is unroadworthy.
-
10. Occasionally the Driving Standards Agency may cancel test appointments due to weather or industrial action. Where the candidate has had 3 or more hours training on the day of the cancelled test we reserve the right to make a charge for use of our motorcycle at the new test appointment. You may be able to make an expenses claim to the DSA.
-
11. Where a candidate is having difficulty handling a larger bike on a DAS course, the instructor’s risk assessment is final. We reserve the right to cancel training or restrict training to a 125cc bike where this is in the interests of safety.
12. Re-sits or continuation of training: Where a candidate is
unsuccessful either on CBT or test, further training should be booked within 3 months of the original course to count as
continuation and receive any subsidised rate. Training taken
after this time will be charged at the current price.
